What is self-care? What does a self-care routine look like? Rethink your definition of self-care as we dive into easy and attainable self-care practices that will nourish your mind, body and spirit!

Join us for a cup of tea, soulful connections, a journaling activity and the opportunity to create your own custom self-care checklist!

  • Cup of tea or beverage of choice
  • Set of markers and a pen

What is self-care? Well, it depends on who you ask! As a wellness consultant my philosophy is that self-care in an integral part of one’s comprehensive wellness. Self-care is carving out time to take care of mind, body and soul regardless of what other obligations appear more pressing or urgent. If we aren’t healthy then we can’t learn, work, care for our loved ones, enjoy life and so much more!

There are many types of self-care and they can be summarized into 8 general categories:

  1. Personal
  2. Space
  3. Work
  4. Financial
  5. Spiritual
  6. Physical
  7. Emotional
  8. Social

No single category holds more value than another but depending on your lifestyle and environment you may notice that certain categories are more applicable to your life. Throughout the month of October we will dive into what self-care looks like, learn simple self-care tools, explore how to integrate self-care into your life and enjoy a virtual evening together embracing and practicing self-care!
