Scholarships/Grants

The Sigma Delta Tau Foundation is pleased to offer annual educational scholarships to assist outstanding undergraduate and graduate sisters with the high cost of college. Scholarships are funded through the generosity of our donors, including alumnae, collegians, friends of the Foundation, and corporate sponsors.

 

Applications accepted January 1, 2017-April 1, 2017

Recipients will be announced by July 1, 2017

 

General Eligibility:

  • Undergraduate and graduate members of Sigma Delta Tau in good standing with their chapters and the organization
  • Full-time students enrolled in an accredited institution pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • Applicants who have already received two SDT Foundation scholarships are ineligible.
  • Applicants must be an initiated member of SDT for at least one semester
  • Applications will not be considered once the portal closes on April 1, 2017.

Recipients are selected on the basis of financial need, scholastic record, SDT leadership and participation, and campus/community service.

Applicant scores will be weighted in the following areas:

  • 40% financial need
  • 20% chapter involvement
  • 20% scholastic achievement
  • 10% campus/community involvement
  • 10% overall application
