Scholarship Program

The Sigma Delta Tau Foundation is pleased to offer annual educational scholarships to assist outstanding undergraduate and alumnae sisters with tuition expenses as they pursue their educational goals. Needs-based and merit-based awards are available as well as scholarships supporting specific Sigma Delta Tau chapters.

Scholarships are funded through the generosity of our donors, including alumnae, collegiate leaders, chapters, and friends of the Foundation.

The 2026 application portal is open January 9 – March 31, 2026. Recipients will be announced July 1, 2026.

Who Can Apply

SDT Undergraduates
Active members in good standing, initiated spring 2025 or earlier. Apply now.

SDT Alumnae
Alumnae who graduated in good standing and are pursuing an advanced degree. Apply now.

  • One application qualifies you for all scholarships
  • Both need-based and merit-based awards available
  • Strong chapter involvement strengthens your application
  • Must have at least one full year of SDT membership
  • Members of the following chapters may qualify for dedicated chapter scholarships: Alpha, Alpha Beta, Alpha Iota, Alpha Mu, Alpha Zeta, Beta Tau, Chi, Delta, Eta, Gamma Chi, Gamma Eta, Gamma Mu, Kappa, Phi, Upsilon

General Scholarship Eligibility

  • Undergraduate members of Sigma Delta Tau in good standing with their chapters or alumnae members who completed their undergraduate experience in good standing with the chapter and organization.
  • Full-time students enrolled in an accredited institution pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
  • Applicants must be an initiated member of SDT for at least one year.
  • Applicants who have already received two SDT Foundation scholarships are ineligible.
  • Applications will not be considered once the portal closes on March 31, 2026.
