Our visionary leaders overcame discrimination against religious minorities by boldly creating a brand new sorority. They foresaw this new fraternal organization as capable of inspiring its members into actions “worthy of the highest precepts of true womanhood, democracy and humanity.” We believe our seven founding sisters would be very proud of the dynamic partnerships supported by Sigma Delta Tau today, almost a century after crafting this important vision.
