Who is a Rising Leader?

She must currently serve on the general or secondary board, with the intention of running for an executive board position in the next election.  She must be an active sister for at least one full semester (not including the new member period).  Consider all of the qualities you look for in your e-board team: confident, authentic, encouraging, charismatic, collaborative, influential, respectful, approachable, valuable, focused, accountable and forward-thinking.

How will I access sessions throughout the day?

We will be utilizing two primary pieces of technology to facilitate virtual engagement – an event app, Pigeon Hole, as the central location to find information about the event and Zoom for all video components. As a registered attendee, you will receive the zoom link and closer to the event an invitation to access the app prior to Elevate. It is important that you download the app, as this is how you will be able to view the event schedule, access Zoom links to sessions, and network with other attendees.

Should I expect to be on camera during sessions?

Yes! We want you to get to know and make connections with your fellow sisters across the country.

What should I wear for Elevate?

Show off your school pride! We encourage all attendees to wear a shirt from their college or university. There may be a prize for the most school spirit…

Are sessions going to be live or pre-recorded so I can watch them later?

All sessions will be live and all registered attendees should plan to be in attendance and on time.

What should I expect for the Inspiration Sessions?

During Elevate, each chapter will have the opportunity to speak to fellow attendees on a best practice, excellent program they host or system that works well for them during “Inspiration Sessions”. These 6-minute talks, similar to a mini-TED talk, will be presented live in rapid succession by one chapter after another.

  • Does your chapter have a unique and awesome event that you want to share?
  • Does your chapter have a really successful annual philanthropy event?
  • Does your chapter have a great point system or standards procedure in place?

When registering for Elevate, your chapter president will fill in the submission of what your chapter member(s) will present on. We recommend a minimum of three members presenting during each inspiration session. We will send each chapter president a power-point template. The Inspiration Sessions will take place live via Zoom meetings on Saturday afternoon and chapters will be notified of a set order/time slot.
