CLT Members Share Thoughts on Leadership School

By SDT Headquarters,

group tribalOur Collegiate Leadership Team (CLT) has been hard at work planning programming for Leadership School. As we count down the days until we’re together in Arlington, Virginia, our 2014-2015 CLT members took a few minutes away from their planning to share what they love about the CLT and what they are looking forward to most at #SDTLS15!

What interested you about the CLT?

“What interested me most about the CLT was the connections I would be making across the country with girls who were my sister who I didn’t even know existed until the first time we came together!” – Sarah Schwartz, Mu- University of Southern California

“The CLT has substantially broadened my knowledge on how to be an effective leader. I can’t wait to hear about what all my other sisters get out of Leadership School!” – Marisa Hunt, Tau-University of Texas

“Sigma Delta Tau is something that is close to my heart, and I wanted to become more involved on a National level after already holding leadership positions within my own chapter.  – Lisa Radwanski, Gamma Xi-Montclair State University

What is the best part of being a CLT member?

“The best part of being on the CLT has been all the friendships I’ve made so far. Getting to know my sisters from chapters across the country has been so amazing.” – Julia Goldblatt, Upsilon-Indiana University

“One of my best friends now I would have never met without CLT since well she is at school 500 miles away from me!” – Lynsey Boss, Gamma Rho-Ramapo College of New Jersey

What are you looking forward to most at #SDTLS15?

“I cannot wait for our late night activities after a long day of hard work. It is going to be the beSDT! I hope we will inspire other collegians just as I was inspired at Convention!” – Jessica Matarese, Delta Lambda-Farmingdale State College

“I’m looking forward to meeting sisters from other chapters at Leadership School. Sometimes we forget that SDT isn’t just our local chapters, and it’s so fun to make connections with other sisters and to learn from them and their experiences.” – Mariana Peltier, Gamma Delta-American University

“The members from the previous CLTs empowered me to make bigger and better changes in my chapter, and I hope that I will be able to do the same at Leadership School 2015!” – Eliza Roberts, Alpha Theta-University of Maryland

What’s next for you in SDT after the CLT?

“Lifelong involvement! I want something in my life that I can always be passionate about, and SDT fits that description.” – Courtney Kristan, Gamma Chi-SUNY Geneseo

“I will be graduating in April, and I felt that the CLT would be a great way to make the transition from being a collegiate member of SDT to an alumna.” – Megan Buhay, Alpha Zeta-University of Pittsburgh

“I want to give back to SDT. I want my chapter to see that SDT is much more than four years at a college; it is a great organization to empower everyone!” – Marea Tennant, Alpha Upsilon-Bradley University
