Beta Beta Supports PCAA & JWI with TrΣΔΤ Week

By SDT Headquarters,

BetaBeta_TreatWeekThe Beta Beta chapter at Michigan State University took philanthropy to the next level by organizing a weeklong event benefiting both Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA) and Jewish Women International (JWI).

TrΣΔΤ Week consisted of various fundraisers at popular restaurants around Michigan State University. Proceeds from food sales benefited PCAA.  Tables at each restaurant were set up to sell the limited edition OPI Girls Achieve Grapeness! nail polish (on sale throughout October as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month), with proceeds going toward JWI’s domestic violence awareness and prevention programming.

The event was promoted to the entire Michigan State University community, and the chapter saw a great turn out! Beta Beta Vice President of Philanthropy, Ava Jacobs, said, “TrΣΔΤ Week fell during our Big Little week, so many bigs used the philanthropic events as an opportunity to purchase a meal for their soon-to-be littles.”

TrΣΔΤ Week gained recognition throughout the community. Members of the chapter were interviewed by their campus newspaper, and promotional materials were found throughout the community. The chapter is thankful for the weeklong turnout and looks forward to organizing similar events in the future.
